Minor and Double Major Programmes

MINOR

The aim of the Minor Program is to enable students who successfully complete their registered undergraduate program to gain knowledge in another field of interest. Students who obtain the right to graduate from their registered undergraduate program and complete the minor program with a minimum GPA of 2.00 are awarded a "Minor Certificate" at the end of the semester in which they graduate.

Software Development Department students have the opportunity to minor in Digital Game Design, Management Information Systems, Computer Engineering (English), Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Industrial Engineering (Turkish/English), and Software Engineering.

DOUBLE MAJOR

The aim of the Double Major Program is to enable students who successfully complete their registered diploma programs to study for a second undergraduate degree, taking into account the Higher Education Field Qualifications determined by the Council of Higher Education. Accordingly, Software Development Department students also have the right to pursue a Double Major in the departments listed below:

  • Psychology (English)
  • Psychology
  • Sociology
  • English Translation and Interpretation
  • Turkish Language and Literature
  • Digital Game Design
  • Management Information Systems
  • Computer Engineering (English)

  • Software Engineering

Students applying for a double major in the Software Development Undergraduate Program must meet the minimum score determined according to the Higher Education Institutions Examination (YKS) score type for the relevant program.

For Software Development department students to pursue a Double Major or Minor in one of the programs where the language of instruction is English, they must meet the English Language Certificate (YDS 75, YÖK-DİL 75) or English Preparatory course success requirement.
