News Date: 13 July 2026 Faculty Seminar on Generalized Parton Distributions Held As part of the weekly seminars of Doğuş University Faculty of Engineering and Natural Sciences, we hosted Dr. Muhammad Goharipour on July 9, 2026. Dr. Goharipour, who will be a visiting researcher at our university for one year, addressed the role of generalized partton distributions in understanding nucleon structure in his seminar titled “Studying the Nucleon Structure through Generalized Parton Distributions.” The seminar evaluated the contributions of generalized partton distributions to quark and gluon dynamics through the relationship they establish between partton distribution functions, form factors, and nucleon tomography. Furthermore, the interpretation of experimental data using standard QCD analysis, current studies conducted within the MMGPDs Collaboration, and approaches to the three-dimensional investigation of hadron structure were shared. The seminar, conducted in English and open to external participants, provided a productive scientific exchange environment for our academics and students.
