News Date: 13 July 2026 A seminar on Smart Drug Delivery Systems in Nanotechnology and Photodynamic Therapy was held. As part of the weekly seminars of Doğuş University Faculty of Engineering and Natural Sciences, we hosted Assoc. Prof. Dr. Emel Önal Dumanoğlu on July 2, 2026. In her seminar titled “Smart Drug Delivery Systems in Nanotechnology and Photodynamic Therapy,” she discussed current applications of nanotechnology in the health field and the possibilities offered by smart drug delivery systems in photodynamic therapy processes. The seminar particularly emphasized the importance of nanotechnology-based delivery systems in transporting photosensitizer molecules to target tissue, increasing their bioavailability, and enhancing treatment efficacy. The seminar, which highlighted the importance of interdisciplinary research in health, chemistry, materials science, and advanced treatment technologies, provided a productive scientific exchange environment for our academics and students.
